In its opening match, Mexico was dominant in a 2-0 win over South Africa. Then, El Tri edged out a 1-0 win over South Korea. And to put the icing on the cake, Mexico dominated Czechia 3-0 to go unbeaten in the group stage without giving up a single goal, setting up a Round of 32 matchup against Ecuador.
