Last season (2025-26), he logged a career-high 10 goals and four assists. He previously played one season with Benfica in Primeira Liga (2022-23), which was preceded by three seasons with River Plate in Liga Argentina (2018-19, 2021 and 2022).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" data-v-0a453225>Meanwhile, Fern\u00e1ndez just wrapped up playing for Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, knocking through two scores over seven contests in the tournament. Fern\u00e1ndez also played for Argentina in its 2022 World Cup triumph.
